To help prevent and reduce fraudulent credit and debit card activity, safeguards have been established that may restrict card usage outside normal areas of use. To avoid any issues with credit or debit cards when traveling, please contact the Accounting Department or a teller at any branch prior to departure to provide notification of travel dates.

Has your VISA Credit Card been lost or stolen?

If you have lost your VISA Credit Card or it has been stolen, please call 800-543-5073 and report your missing card.

If you suspect fraud on your account, please report it to the number above immediately and contact NAE for any additional questions.

All cards reported lost or stolen will automatically have a new card issued by the credit union unless notified otherwise.


In an attempt to prevent unauthorized use of your card, NAE Federal Credit Union credit cards are monitored 24/7 by a new and improved service called SecurLock. This service monitors card activity and spending habits to determine if a card may be experiencing fraud activity. When a card is suspected of having fraud activity, SecurLock will try to establish contact with the member to verify the transactions first through a text message, then by telephone, and lastly by email. At no time will they request additional personal information or card information (never reveal your PIN and/or card number to anyone). If they are unable to get in touch with the card holder they will put a temporary block on the account and contact the financial institution.

Example SMS/text messages:

FreeMsg: NAE Fraud Dept 8003694887: Suspicious txn on acct 1111: $201.99 WALMART. If authorized reply YES, otherwise NO. To Opt Out reply STOP.

If the reply is YES the case will be closed as not fraud and will receive the following response:

FreeMsg: NAE Fraud Dept: Thank you for confirming this activity. Your account is safe for continued use. To Opt Out reply STOP.

If the reply is NO, the member will receive the following response:

Free Msg: NAE Fraud Dept: Thank you. We will call you or you can call us anytime at 800-369-4887. To Opt Out reply STOP.

If you believe you are a victim of fraudulent activity, please contact the credit union immediately and call 800-543-5073 to report your card, so fraudulent activity can be stopped or prevented.
